Our classes are rooted in yoga philosophy and thoughtful teaching that helps you build strength, resilience and clarity both on and off the mat.

  • Founded in 2003 by Jennifer Maagendans, Luna Yoga is a community-rooted studio in the heart of Old Montreal, offering strong, breath-led yoga in a welcoming and grounded space. We’re here for people who want to build strength, move with intention, and leave class feeling uplifted.

  • Most of our classes are dynamic vinyasa flows designed to build functional, full-body strength while staying deeply connected to breath and body awareness. We believe in Strength with Soul — movement that challenges and empowers, while also supporting stress relief, balance, and long-term sustainability. Alongside our stronger classes, we offer grounding practices like Yin and Flo into Yin to support recovery and reset.

  • Since 2003, we’ve been more than a yoga studio—we’ve been a community home. Yoga is the spark, but community is the fire. Proudly female-owned, we believe in creating an inclusive and empowering space where everyone feels they belong.     Luna Yoga’s unique approach to yoga brings together strength, breath, and presence in a dynamic Vinyasa-style practice we call YogaFlo. Rooted in traditional lineages such as Ashtanga, Hatha, and Jivamukti, YogaFlo blends thoughtful sequencing, fluid movement, and steady breath to build functional strength while cultivating calm and focus.

    JIVAMUKTI YOGA

    Jivamukti Yoga is a dynamic and inspiring vinyasa practice created by David Life and Sharon Gannon, blending strong physical movement with spiritual and philosophical teachings. The word jiva means individual soul and mukti means liberation — together, Jivamukti points to the idea of finding freedom while fully living in the body.

  • Yin Yoga

    YIN YOGA

    Yin Yoga offers a grounding counterbalance to our stronger flows — an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and settle into stillness. Rooted in traditional practices and shaped by our modern, inclusive community, Yin supports both physical release and mental calm.

  • Twisted Lunge Pose

    FLO INTO YIN

    Flo into Yin is the perfect blend of movement and stillness — combining the strength and energy of a vinyasa flow with the deep release of Yin. This class begins with an active, breath-led sequence to build heat, strength, and mobility, then gradually transitions into longer-held, floor-based poses that invite the body and nervous system to slow down.

What We Believe

Our teaching is thoughtful, inclusive, and non-competitive, with an emphasis on smart sequencing, alignment, and options for different bodies and energy levels. You’ll be encouraged to listen to your body and practice in a way that feels supportive rather than performative.

At its heart, yoga is about connection — to body, breath, and community. Our hope is that every class leaves you feeling stronger, more grounded, and more at ease in your own skin.

The Jivamukti classes are extremely motivating and intelligent. There's something to please everyone and there are interesting challenges for more advanced yogis without feeling competitive.
