I have been an avid yoga practitioner for the better part of twenty years and I didn't realize just how much of a positive impact it had on both my body and mind, until I took a year off. The physical ramifications were huge, but not only did my body begin to ache, but my mind fidgeted more and I found myself less focused, more easily agitated, and less patient overall.

That little practice I had maintained for so long on the mat went much deeper than thought. It literally kept me younger, more balanced and grounded. Needless to say I’m back on the mat and anytime I'm overly frustrated, I go straight into downward dog. It's like an instant reset. It's no wonder people have been practicing it for thousands of years...
