About Eoin Finn

Eoin Finn, globally celebrated yogi, surfer, thought leader, and founder of Blissology, has been carving his unique path through the worlds of yoga, philosophy, physiology, and movement since 1989. Known for blending soulful science with yogic wisdom, Eoin’s teachings are deeply rooted in the yogic traditions but are refreshingly down-to-earth. He’s been named one to watch by Oprah, and his innovative, pioneering spirit “refreshes like cool water.” His new book, Yoga Optimized, is a testament to this legacy.

A passionate ocean activist, he launched the Blissology EcoKarma project t in 2014, mobilizing yoga and environmental activism to protect precious coral reefs. He lives on Canada’s west coast, always searching for the perfect wave.

Welcome back Eoin Finn!
Thursday Sept 4th, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Join us in Montreal for a soulful and science-informed masterclass that will leave your spine smiling and your spirit soaring.

Twists aren’t just about detox—they’re a gateway to freedom. When combined with hip openers and refined through Blissology Asana Principles, these poses awaken what we call in Yoga Optimized the lateral side body: the obliques, hips, and glutes. This unlocks rotational power for your surfboard, bringing a feeling of joyous freedom to every movement, on and off your mat.

Expect a flowing vinyasa experience blended with precise anatomical cues and deep embodiment. Your spine will feel ten years younger, your hips more open, and your soul reconnected to divine universal joy.

All levels welcome.

Come twist, open, and awaken.

Are you curious about seeing the world Upside-Down? Think yoga is all about standing on your feet + being grounded?

In this lighthearted, upside-down adventure, we’ll flip the script (and maybe ourselves) as we explore the world of inversions. From the humble Down Dog to the daring Handstand, we’ll break down what it means to go topsy-turvy—without flipping out.

This is for the first-timers, the seasoned standers + all those who are ready to face their fears!

You don’t need to be able to do a headstand—or even want to! You just need an open mind, a curious body + a willingness to fall (with a little flair).

So… where do you stand?

June Focus: Yin vs. Yang – Finding Balance with Madeleine

This month’s Luna Lounge invites you to explore the dance of opposites—Yin and Yang through a meditative yet dynamic yoga experience designed to restore harmony within the body and mind. Rooted in the Taoist philosophy of duality, Yin and Yang represent complementary energies: stillness and movement, effort and ease, cooling and heating, surrender and strength.

In this thoughtfully curated 90-minute practice, we will blend active Yang-inspired movement with passive Yin postures, inviting you to reset your nervous system, reconnect with your breath, and rest deeply in embodied awareness.

Through mindful breathing, chakra and meridian awareness, and guided moments of inner reflection, you’ll learn how cultivating balance between Yin and Yang can support emotional resilience, energetic flow, and overall well-being. Whether you’re looking to soothe overstimulation or spark vitality, this class offers something for every body.

Designed for all levels. Come move, breathe, and balance with us under the June moon.

Storyteller: Book Launch with Bram Levinson
Saturday January 18th, 2025 1:30pm to 3:30pm

The time has finally arrived! After five years of hard work, Bram's new book Storyteller is finally ready to be released, and we are celebrating! Join us after Bram's 11a-12:30p class on Saturday, January 18 at 13h30 for the Luna Yoga Book Launch for Storyteller. The book, along with Bram's other two books The Examined Life & A Year in the Light, will be available to purchase and Bram will be on site for a book signing and reading from the new release!

Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate all together in community as five years of hard work culminate in the release of Storyteller.

Book Summary

Life wisdom. Personal and psychological development. The collective human experience. Storyteller is all of these things intertwined, and told through stories from my life (so far!). What I set out to do with this book is to show how the act of storytelling shines a light on our common ground as we see ourselves reflected in its narratives. And while these stories are from my personal journey as a spiritual and psychological seeker, they can resonate with all of us as we connect with our own experiences and memories.

Holiday Kirtan with Myriam Turenne
Friday December 20th, from 7pm to 8:30pm

To celebrate the year’s end at Luna Yoga, we are pleased to welcome back our very own LYTT grad, devotional singer, Myriam Turenne , a kirtankara offering a celebration of connection with a Holiday Kirtan.

Kirtan Chanting is a deeply inspiring and heart-opening practice. It calms the mind, helps us resolve unwanted tensions and find inner freedom. We sing in Sanskrit, a language revealed by the wise from ancient times like the language of the heart. It’s an ideal way to experience the joy of singing in a group; the emphasis is on participation rather than performance.

Accessible to everyone, Myriam will guide you in this yoga practice of the voice.

Cost: $40

Myriam Turenne

Myriam is a spiritual singer-songwriter. Through her music and her inspiring words, she manages to make her audience see and feel all the beauty that is found within them, helping them find the path to their soul. After many years as a graphic designer, she left the stress of her old lifestyle to devote herself to music. In 2018, she met her teacher Girish (an internationally renowned world music artist) and went on tour with him. Thanks to Girish, she recorded her first album: “Invincible”. Myriam also offers sacred spaces for personal transformation during retreats, special events and online training.

Restorative Teacher Training

Dates: November 22-24, 2024

Restorative Yoga Training has been a life changing experience for me. Not only did I learn about the practice itself and how to teach it with Andrea’s compassionate guidance, I was also able to heal myself of adrenal fatigue. It is amazing what this type of yoga can do to your entire being as you allow yourself some space and time to stop, breathe, let go, enjoy and rest. What a journey!
— Christine Tremblayce

Andrea Peloso has been training yoga students based on her extensive experience studying with Judith Hanson Lasater as well as other teachers such as Ramanand Patel, Francois Raoult, Chuck Miller and Maty Ezraty for over a decade and has been studying with Judith and teaching Restorative since 2004. She now teaches regularly across Canada and sometimes further afield. Andrea creates a safe, fun, educational, and healing environment in which to learn and grow as people and as teachers.

Course Curriculum

In the context of this course we will be studying the science of the nervous systemand many different postures in different variations. Yoga for a Cause: Yoga for Brain Health

Yoga for a Cause: Yoga for Brain Health with Stéph
Saturday, October 26th, 2024, 2:00 - 3:30pm

Breathe, move, rest and reset.

Join Luna’s Stéphanie Mercier, for an accessible therapeutic yoga practice dedicated to brain health. All proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Discover powerful ways yoga can reduce stress, and improve breathing patterns, concentration and mind-body awareness - all of which have protective effects on our brains.

This 90 minute gentle flo will focus on relaxation techniques and creating neuroplasticity through movement. By increasing the brain's capacity to form new neural connections and pathways, we train ourselves to be more resilent to experiences, learning, or changes in the environment.

During the practice, students will explore:

  • breathwork to engage the relaxation response

  • thoughtful movement through a slow vinyasa flo

  • self-inquiry and deep calm with a 30 minute iRest yoga nidra session

The class is designed to help students feel refreshed, clear-minded,and  a little more equipped to manage everyday stress and emotions. It was inspired by Stéphanie’s experience as a caregiver to her mother who is suffering from dementia.

The Alzheimer Society mission is to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and to promote the search for causes, treatments and a cure.

Donation of $10 with all proceeds going to Alzheimer Society of Canada.

Stéphanie Mercier

Stephanie happened upon yoga as a complement to running and cycling. Over time, yoga - its philosophy and transformative effects became her main focus and she has been sharing her passion through teaching since 2021. She offers vinyasa flo with a therapeutic approach in group or private sessions, helping students advance their practice, come back to movement or adapt them when dealing with particular challenges like stress or injuries.

Melt my Shoulders, Bliss my Hips with Eoin Finn

Welcome back Eoin Finn!
Thursday August 22, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

It's been almost 10 years and we're excited to announce that Eoin Finn will be returning to Luna Yoga this August! Founder of Blissology Yoga, originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Eoin Finn is a world-renowned yogi, surfer and eco-activist who launched the Blissology EcoKarma project in 2014 to raise awareness through yoga and activism to the world's precious but imperiled coral reefs.

Learn to create openings in your body and heart that will allow you to feel lighter, connected and more joyful. This unique workshop combines an energetic vinyasa flow to help you become fitter and stronger; as well as an in-depth exploration of alignment principles unique to the Belissology system that will allow you to yield deeper into your practice safely. We'll examine and understand the small micro-movements that provide exquisite refinements to your yoga poses so you can move more freely through your hips and shoulders. Expect to feel like you've had a massage and rid yourself of years of stress and tension. Ultimately, this practice is about keeping our innermost, joyful heart open to the radiance of life.

Expect a vigorous vinyasa practice along with deep, refined insights that impact the alignment of the pelvis and shoulder girdle and allow the practice of yoga asanas to become a joyful opening to the shine of life.

Open to all levels of yogis: beginners will find something to work on, while advanced yogis will be able to experience more subtle developments in their practice. Some familiarity with vinyasa or flow yoga is recommended.

Join us for Q+A with Eoin after our workshop and find out more about this amazing yogi!

$65 + taxes

About Eoin Finn

The Canadian native is a world-renowned yogi, surfer and blissologist who has been tracing his original footsteps through the metaphysical worlds of yoga, philosophy and movement since 1989.

Hailed by Yoga Journal as the “Thoreau of yoga” for his eco-activism and dedication to connecting yogis more deeply with the spirituality of nature; and by Oprah as “one to watch,” Finn’s Blissology Yoga style focuses on the simple idea of sharing happiness.

Eoin studied anatomy and physiology at Harvard Medical School and exercise physiology at the University of California, Berkeley. While deeply rooted in the therapeutic and transformative alignment and physiology of yoga, its modern, down-to-earth spiritual ideas are refreshing like cool water. He firmly believes that to find happiness, one must “seek quiet solitude in nature.”

Workshop Policy: To cancel, the workshop the participant must contact the studio (by phone, email to info@lunayoga.ca, or in person) 1 week prior the workshop. No refunds or credits will be issued within 1 week of the workshop.

August Focus: Yoga + Mantra with Frances
Join Frances for an invigorating and uplifting 90-minute practice including chanting, meditation and asana. Opening the heart is not solely limited to practicing postures where you bend backwards. Chanting mantra creates ease through vibration, space through the breath and calms the mind, allowing for the heart space to soften.

In this class we will look more in depth at a classic yoga mantra, chant and sit with its vibration and meaning, and then move through a physical practice, embodying the teaching.

All levels of practice and welcome.

No singing experience required.

All that is needed is a willingness to open your heart. ♥️

Jennifer Maagendans

Jennifer Maagendans is a yoga teacher, entrepreneur, and environmentalist. She is the director and founder of Luna Yoga in Old Montreal. Practicing yoga since 1996, Jennifer has a background in gymnastics, is a certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, and holds a degree in Environmental Studies from Concordia University. Her teaching emphasizes inner peace and happiness, as well as a strong connection to the earth. In addition to her teaching, she has led yoga retreats in Canada, Mexico and Costa Rica.

The apple is one the most chemically sprayed fruits harvested in Québec. As apple growers, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to do differently. By planting the orchard from scratch we were able to control all aspects of its development, from enriching the soil to treatments used on the fruit.

We practice Organic Farming. This process of production involves working while respecting nature and achieving a balanced ecosystem. Feeding the soil with natural elements instead of feeding the trees with chemical fertilizers. Increasing the beneficial insect population instead of destroying enemy insects with chemical pesticides. The ultimate goal is to harvest healthy fruit with the freshness and good taste that nature intended it to have.

🌸 June marks the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and contains the summer solstice, the day with the most daylight hours.  June is also when plants and flora are sprouting and blooming, its a beginning and an awakening. What Blooms in June? Magnolia, Echinacea, water lilies, day lilies, and so much more!
