If you’re like me, you haven’t seen your mom in weeks. Zoom & FaceTime are fine methods to see their loving faces, but my mom still hasn’t mastered the angle she holds her phone so I have become quite familiar with the inside of her nose! (Just telling that story makes me smile and gives me a pang in my chest. I do miss my mom!)

Every Mother’s Day, I usually help my mother in her garden. She isn’t quite as spry and has a harder time moving around, so I do all the heavy lifting, weeding, cleaning and setting it up for her to enjoy all summer long. This will be the first time I won’t be able to do that for her. She lives in a different province and as of writing this, the borders are closed for non-essential travel. I have sent her a little care package and thought I’d share this and few other ideas since most of us won’t be able to see our mom’s on Sunday, but that doesn’t mean we can’t show them how much we love them!.

Ideas for Mom!

1. Bath therapy! Send her a spa day in a box, complete with Audre Botanical Bathing Bomb, soy candle, and beautiful BTowel (And we can help you with that by having it delivered*)

2. Send her a homemade sugar scrub — 1 part coconut oil, 2 parts sugar and some lemon or lime juice and a little zest. Package it in a mason jar, and decorate it in a way only you can. She’ll love it - my mom would!

3. If you aren’t separated by border crossings, plant a garden for her! Respecting social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t roll up your sleeves and help mom set up her garden. And if you are, send her a homemade gift certificate for “One Free Weeding Session” for her garden once the lockdown lifts.

4. Create a playlist for mom!

5. Face time with a face mask! All your need is an Audre Face Mask (with vitamin C)!
