Meditation is a practice aimed to produce inner peace and to progress towards a calm mind. It's essentially about training the mind, in a similar way that we train for a sport or to learn to play a musical instrument, with the goal of liberating the mind from stressful or harmful thoughts, and above all, reconnecting to a state of mindfulness. In this introduction, we will explore the origins of meditation, the different types and the basic techniques.

Refresh yourself with this one-day retreat to the small town of Hudson. Enjoy an invigorating and grounding Jivamukti class led by Luna Yoga owner Jennifer Maagendans, overlooking the lush farm fields at Le Verger de Hudson. After class, grab your 6lb bag and spend the next hour organic apple picking on-site, followed by a wholesome lunch made from fresh, seasonal & local produce, including fresh pressed juice. After lunch join the gang on an excursion to Finnegan's Market, an old-school country market offering antiques, homemade furniture, and merchandise from local artisans and produce sellers. Take advantage of this day to get out of the city and spend some time reconnecting to nature, community, and yourself.

Fundamentals of Yoga 4-week series is perfect whether you are an absolute beginner or looking to strengthen the foundation of your existing yoga practice.

A steady yoga practice will help you build strength, flexibility, balance, focus and inner peace. 
Each week will introduce a new series of yoga poses, the fundamentals of healthy and safe alignment, and connect poses and breath in moving meditation. All classes provide hands-on alignment and will include the use of props (blocks, straps, etc.) to deepen and fine-tune the practice.
The course will build progressively on lessons learned in previous weeks and will prepare you to step confidently into any of Yoga Flo 1 classes. You can choose any of the classes, individual classes or take on the entire series.

Week 2: Standing Poses
Week 3: Forward Bends
Week 4: Backbends & Twists
