Restorative Teacher Training with Andrea Peloso
November 27-29, 2026

Andrea Peloso’s knowledge of restorative yoga is in-depth… I have taken classes from Andrea as a Restorative teacher trainee and have found a very strong leader in this field of yoga.

The Art and Science of Coming into Balance

Restorative Yoga offers a true path into renewed wholeness, and is an invaluable tool to manage and release tension on all levels. In a society governed by high levels of activity and stress, with people often stuck in survival mode, this practice could not be more important. Students who complete this course are empowered to be world class teachers with a deep awareness of the practice and benefits of Restorative Yoga.

Benefits of this Restorative Certification

Restorative Yoga offers what no other yoga practice can: rebalancing from the inside out. The Restorative Yoga Certification at Luna Yoga will give you a deep clarity about the rejuvenating experience of this practice and how to effectively pass this on to others. It will also teach you to adapt your set ups to a wide range of bodies and ages. Andrea will gently shadow your work, making sure that you leave fully prepared. Whether you are a yoga teacher expanding skills and knowledge, a student seeking mastery, or in another profession entirely, you will leave this experience able to.

What you will learn

Science and traditional wisdom: Understanding the scientific reality of the nervous system and how it affects the body as well as the traditional roots of yoga will help students create genuinely effective classes.

The details of propping:

The use of props to support the body is essential to Restorative Yoga. The art of reading bodies is essential to a well propped restorative pose. Students will gain hands on practice in understanding how each pose relates to different bodies, as well as the general physical alignment that enables the student to rest more deeply.

A comprehensive repertoire of postures:

Andrea will share excellent Restorative Yoga postures with enough detail necessary to bring depth and life changing benefits to students.

The big picture

Teaching methodology as a result of personal practice, deepening our empathy for ourselves, as well as our ability to communicate with students will be a theme throughout the course. The place of Restorative Yoga in the wider world of yoga will also be explored as well as business tips.

Who is this training for?

Andrea welcomes yoga teachers seeking to deepen their Restorative Yoga knowledge or learn the practice for the first time as well as anyone seeking to add this practice into their lives. Massage therapists, acupuncturists, teachers, nurses, police officers and social workers have all taken this training as well as those simply seeking to benefit their health. Teachers are offered certification and their work is shadowed by Andrea to ensure the highest quality.

The curriculum

On top of the themes already mentioned, this course covers nervous system regulation, back and shoulder injuries, neck and jaw tension support, pregnancy and other fertility related issues, aging and bigger bodies, knee and hip pain, and many other themes as they are related to this material. Holding space for students, sequencing classes, cultivating stillness and silence, creating safer spaces, and the yoga subtle body are all also themes as well as grounding and letting go. Andrea will also explore special themes and questions as time allows.
